Sam Smith took place right in the heart of South Etobicoke on the Lakeshore . Paintings, illustrations, photograghy & hand made jewellery could be found at this artistic, nature lovin' extravaganza. It was our 1st of this kind & it need not be the last.

Return of the great Monarch

This acrylic on 4 canvas piece is a tribute to the return of the great Monarch Butterfly. A few years ago we didn't see too many of them. It seemed like they were all but wiped out, but they're back. I see them every where now & it fills my heart with joy.

Soon to come: Birdseye Leatherhood is...

The comic series...

Yes, yes ya'll! Vol. 1 of The adventures of Birdseye & the SkyPatrol will be appearing on this site. See how Birdseye came to learn compassion for her fellow birds. How her & Adminbird became friends. How smoking can get you in trouble. Birds in gangs. And Birdseye's family on the moon.
It's simply too exciting to miss, so don't!
Coming soon to this site.

Blast from the past!

Hey gang! Remember these guys? Adminbird was looking deep in the SkyPatrol vaults when she found this OLD & I mean vintage photo. It's my chum Woodsy Owl, Smokey the Bear & Me. (without my hoody) Though times have long changed, the message remains the same;"Give a hoot don't pollute!" And don't leave your campfire burning in the woods when you leave. Extinguish it properly! The forest dwellers HATE forest fires! And so do I!

Hey Adminbird...

...I was thinking for this Thanksgiving holiday weekend instead of just stuffing our beaks with the usual turkey n stuffing. Why don't we go explore the nature trail at Col. Sam Smith Park & give thanks to mother nature during this spectacular harvest moon? Yes Birdseye! Yes!
Won't you join us? Come on!

Delightful things are all around...

...just waiting to be found.

More nature trail highlights

And then Adminbird & I saw this cute snake. Admin was naturally frightened of the little guy. (as any little hen might be) But I found him to be absolutely delicious. Just one of the many bonuses of being part falcon I guess...

Thanks for having us over Birdseye!

Happy Thanksgiving Birdseye & SkyPatrol! This year the local house sparrows simply had a ball at Birdseye's annual harvest moon feeding extravaganza

This Thanksgiving...

...share a little of your popcorn with a friend. That's Digger by the way & he just loves theater popcorn like his Mum.
